Synopsis: A space station run by a tough woman comes under attack by a deadly force that can't at first be named. But it's not long before a freaky, slimy life-form comes to light and must be stopped from killing everyone involved. This stylish sci-fi thriller has two versions—the oldie but goodie and the 2003 director's cut.

Still one of the scariest creature-features ever made, this film will remain a milestone in effects & their integration into a storyline. With a full mythology in sequels, it's also one of the most complete horror/sci-fi stories ever written.
As a the unsuspecting crew of a space tug-boat sleeps thru the journey back to Earth, they are awakened & forced to investigate one of the most hostile life forms imaginable. Like a wasp to a spider, the alien they find lays its embryo inside a living host, which is then paralyzed & devoured from within. Only a stronger will to live can save the sole survivor from sharing the fate of her crew.
