Synopsis: In England, Belinda Warren falls in love and has an affair with married aristocrat Robert Melford, who refuses to leave his invalid wife, Rosamund. Belinda gives birth to Robert's son, but unable to raise the child alone, lets Robert take him. Belinda flees to America where, in time, she marries a kind businessman, Jim Baker. Years later, still pining for the life she could have had with Robert, Belinda meets the Melfords again.
