Synopsis: In this touching comedy, Wilbert Winkle has secure employment and a steady, if unsatisfying, marriage to Amy. However, struck by the feeling that he has unfulfilled potential, Wilbert leaves his longtime bank job to open a business. But this is the early 1940s, and with America embroiled in World War II, Wilbert is soon wearing an Army uniform. Dispatched to the Pacific theater, he and pal Tinker find themselves in the thick of battle.
