Synopsis: For a summer job, college student Artie Shoemaker works in the prop department at an Ohio theater company. Though Artie doesn't excel at his job, he's taken under the wing of the theater's leading actor, Harry Crystal, who seems content with his minor stage stardom. When Artie falls for the beautiful dancer Ramona, Harry helps to play matchmaker, turning the summer into a very memorable one for the earnest young man.
