Synopsis: At the end of World War II, Lt. Merle Wye is given the task of capturing the sole remaining Japanese person on an American-controlled island in the Pacific. Wye is a bumbling fool, however, clumsy and awkward, so when level-headed Lt. Molly Blue shows up to help him, it's not a moment too soon. Though they are quite different in temperament and intelligence, the two young officers work together -- and fall in love along the way.
