Synopsis: Clumsy sanitation worker Red Jones is fired from his street-cleaning job shortly after his girlfriend, Ann Elliot, refuses his marriage proposal until he betters himself. While training to become a door-to-door salesman, he accidentally stumbles into a murder investigation when the corrupt sanitation commissioner who had fired him is killed. When the murder weapon is found to be one of the brushes Red sells, he must fight to prove his innocence.
