Synopsis: Boozing children's author Greg Rawlings, known as Uncle Bump, enlists the help of illustrator Martha Terryton, who is appalled by his womanizing ways and seeming hatred for kids. She threatens to tell the world he's a fraud, so he pretends to be a widower and the father of a troubled son in a scheme cooked up by his publisher. Martha believes the story and tries to help him -- until she finds out the truth.
