Synopsis: Volcanology professor Peter Shepard comes to realize that recent unexplainable volcanic activity around the world is signaling an imminent global catastrophe that could lead to the extinction of mankind. Racing against the impending inferno, and an international security team that does not believe him, Shepard must rely on only his instincts to stave off the disaster and save the planet.
