LightBulbFilm, United States of America (Reviewer Ranking: 6) wrote this review on April 29, 2005:

Let me start out by saying that I love Wes Anderson and his films. This film especially. The story is awesome, and hilarious, filled to the brim with regular humor, and overflowing with dark humor. You can clearly see he pulls things from French New Wave but he makes it his own. His mind is always thinking and always coming up with new ideas for his films on the spot. One thing I like about this movie is the charachters, he has the family: Mom, Dad, Brothers, Sister, Grandsons, Dog... But one character is not right in front of your eyes, you really have to comprehend the film and view the film in a certain perspective to see it though... The house. The house is a character and it brings more life to the story. Definetly see this film if you know is what is good for you.
