Set in Great Britain, the series' main characters are Basil Fawlty, owner of the Fawlty Towers hotel (inspired from a rude manager encountered by Cleese and the Pythons while staying in a hotel, a few months before...), his wife Sybil who doesn't work a lot but gives many orders, especially to her husband, Polly the smart waitress and Manuel the dumb Spanish waiter, hired rather for his low salary expectations than his skills.
Fawlty Towers has remained a timeless example of comic writing, acting, and characterisation at its very best. This 3-disc DVD set features all episodes plus a special extra disc containing new interviews with the original cast, a commentary, original photos, Torquay tourist film and previously unseen outtakes.
