Synopsis: Two neighbours in an apartment building come to realize that their respective spouses are having an affair with each other in this measured and gorgeously-photographed melodrama directed by up-and-coming Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai. Although the pair are also attracted to each other, their mutual sense of duty and fidelity to their unfaithful spouses ensures that their relationship remains platonic. This solemn romance won several awards at international film festivals in 2000.
