Synopsis: Jane Thornton is a successful attorney on her way to Seattle to visit her best friend, Mandy. As they plan a party for Mandy's birthday, Mandy reveals that she's unhappy with her husband, Will, and wants a divorce. The recently widowed Jane consoles them both but finds herself developing feelings for Will. The bonds of loyalty and love are tested as Jane tries to reconcile her friendship with Mandy and her newfound interest in Will.
