Synopsis: Joe Belden is an enterprising, if eccentric, inventor who is determined to perfect his latest project -- an automobile that runs on gasoline. Supported by his girlfriend, Liz Bullitt, Joe finds that most of his friends and neighbors think that his efforts are absurd. Circumstances result in a misunderstanding between Joe and Liz, a situation that may hinder him in a big upcoming auto race. Can Joe and Liz reconcile in time for the competition?
