Synopsis: It's 1971 in the economically challenged river town of Madison, Indiana, and resident dreamer Jim McCormick has a plan—to compete in the Gold Cup hydroplane race. There are just a few problems with this: Jim's a broke family man without the money to complete in this expensive sport, his wife's against the idea, and his neighbors think he's crazy. Still, Jim pushes on with his dream, enlisting anyone he can to invest money in the venture. Based on a true story.
