Cass Timberlane
A judge in a small Minnesota town, Cass Timberlane is cultured and enjoys a sterling reputation. When he falls for working-class girl Jinny Marshland and they get married, his life begins to unravel. Jinny grows restless and starts having an affair with Cass' friend Bradd Criley, a younger lawyer, leaving the judge heartbroken and betrayed. So when she attempts to return to Cass, their relationship might be irreparably damaged.
