Synopsis: Bitter Adam McAdam lives on a small farm on the Isle of Man, taking pleasure only in his annual victory at the local sheepherding competition. Adam has long hated his neighbor and rival, Keith, and keeps to himself, with only his dogs for company. His solitary existence ends when his estranged daughter dies in a car crash, and he's left in charge of his grandson, David. But when David falls in love with Keith's daughter, Adam becomes furious.
