Third Finger, Left Hand
Uninterested in an office romance, successful fashion journalist Margot Sherwood Merrick goes to great lengths to conceal the fact that she's single. To ward off potential beaus, including painter Jeff Thompson, she wears a fake wedding ring and tells everyone she already has a husband. When Jeff realizes that Margot doesn't have a spouse, he decides to make her pay for her deception by posing as her husband, leading to a comical rivalry and a surprising romance.
