Merchant of Venice, The
Shakespeare classic about Shylock, a loan shark, of sorts, who demands that a young man, Antonio, use as loan collateral a pound of his own flesh. Anotonio is only borrowing the money for his friend, Bassanio, who wishes to impress and marry the love of his life, Portia.
