Synopsis: Teenager Joan Abbott is a sensation after singing the jingle for Crunchy-Wunchy cereal, and she's primed for big success. But Abbott has her heart set on attending college. Much to the horror of her uncle/agent, J.P., she breaks her contract and disappears, changing her name to Susie Smith and enrolling in a university in the Midwest. Meanwhile, the ad agency behind the jingle sponsors a search, and students all over the country start snooping around for her.
