Synopsis: Thief Fra Diavolo plans to steal jewels and francs from Lord Rocberg and his wife, Lady Pamela. He enlists other thieves to help, including Stanlio and Ollio, who Diavolo caught impersonating him. Stanlio and Ollio kidnap Lord Rocberg in an attempt to find where the francs are hidden. In the process, the theft is bungled, and Diavolo is forced to complete the job himself, resulting in unexpected consequences.
