Synopsis: After her husband dies, Alice Hyatt packs up her life (including her 11-year-old son) and heads home towards California. When money runs short—in the middle of Arizona—she gets a job as a waitress in order to finance the rest of her trip. That is, if she ever leaves Tucson. This critically acclaimed, much-loved '70s drama inspired the long-running TV series Alice.
