Here are three short films featuring the Tramp. In "A Dog's Life," the Tramp's hardscrabble existence on the streets is compared to that of a canine named Scraps, whose name befits his meals. In "Shoulder Arms," Chaplin is an American soldier in World War I who manages to milk some comedy out of the depressed conditions of trench warfare. And in "The Pilgrim," Chaplin appears in a case of mistaken identity as an escaped prisoner who impersonates a town's minister.
