Synopsis: Spanning the time between 1846 and 1863, the years of the murderous Draft Riots, this sprawling epic looks at life in Five Points, a crowded, violence-plagued section of New York City that was then regarded as the worst slum on the planet. Specifically, the film follows the story of a young Irish hoodlum plotting revenge against a local crime lord for the murder of his father.
