Synopsis: An elderly homeless man, Elmer, is caught stealing from a car. The family of the car owner, Reg and Barb Spencer, including their children, initially don't see Elmer as anything more than a thief. However, a young girl, Amanda, befriends Elmer and wants him to be her "grandfather" for Christmas.
