Synopsis: Outlaw Duke Mantel dupes singing cowboy Gene Autry and his band into providing a diversion while his gang robs a bank nearby, leading to the band members' arrest. After the mistake is cleared up, Gene learns that his friend has inherited a ranch, prompting the band to move there and turn it into a "rest ranch." Soon after, fleeing outlaw accomplice Julie Reeves arrives at the ranch, and Gene and the band are drawn into the search for the bank money.
