Synopsis: When singing cowboy Gene Autry comes home to Gold Ridge, Wyo., he attracts the attention of reporter Hack Hackett and photographer Clementine Benson. In town to help his friend Pop Harrison control his rodeo star son, Tex, whose gambling and drinking are getting out of hand, Gene tangles with a Chicago mobster hiding out in the small town. When a murder occurs, it's up to Gene to solve the mystery.
