Synopsis: Dr. Eli Watt practices in a small New England town. Many of the townspeople are poor and cannot afford to pay for medical care, but Eli still selflessly serves the community. When his wife dies in childbirth, widower McGinnis wants nothing to do with his new baby daughter, Letty, so Eli agrees to raise her. When she grows up, Letty returns to her father, but Eli continues to care for her, and helps Letty through her troubled marriage.
