Synopsis: Discriminatory boss Bullard Bear seeks to ax Molly Thatcher as a stock analyst at his brokerage firm, so he assigns her some stock shares to improve, knowing all along they are actually worthless. Although the company, Universal Widgets, went out of production in the mid-19th century, Molly convinces rich Texan Henry Tyroon to invest, and before long the bogus stocks are soaring and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is hot on their trail.
