Synopsis: In a 16th-century Buddhist temple, the aging abbot (Su Han) convened various outside advisors, including a wealthy patron (Yueh Sun) and the local military commander (Feng Tien), to help select a successor. The corrupt consultants, however, each had designs on a priceless scroll within the temple library--but their stooges would have to contend with the atoning thief (Lin Tung) safeguarding the artifact.
