Synopsis: Based on Rick Moody's novel of the same name, this quiet drama focuses on the lives of two families in 1973, upper-middle-class Connecticut. From key parties to polyester fashion experiments to experiments of an entirely different nature between the teenage children, the movie understatedly explores the emotional frigidity of WASP life.
