Synopsis: Lips of Blood is a true jewel in director Jean Rollin's vampyric crown, laden to overflowing with images of languid depravity and gothic beauty, it is an almost fairy tale like take on the vampire theme and a classic combination of arthouse and horror cinema. The film centers on a young man who is tormented by visions or memories of an old castle and a ghostly woman with whom he becomes obsessed. This ethereal woman eventually leads him to a cemetery where he is encouraged to open a number of coffins which releases a horde of female vampires into the city of Paris.
