Synopsis: In this atypically celebratory Holocaust portrait, extraordinary luck and coincidence guide a large family of Belgian Jewish diamond merchants and activists as they flee Europe in 1940. Their survival route takes them through France, Spain, and Portugal, and finally, to America. In a twist of fate, one of them is sent back to Europe to help liberate Dachau.
