Ji-Sang Lee's controversial first film, Yellow Flower, was finished in 1998, but became entangled in red tape from the Korean ratings board, which insisted it was too obscene for general viewing. It wasn't released to the public until 2002, when it was finally granted an "18+" rating. The film is very abstract, dealing with the way different people incorporate sex and sexuality into their lives by means of some extreme examples.
