JIHAD: Searching for Answers interviews various people in the Middle Eastern and South Asian communities to find out what they think about current affairs, the post 9/11 world, and their place in American society. We searched for the core of the Islamic community in the United States and interviewed Muslim community leaders, scholars, and authors to find out their reaction to the current wave of publicity around them. We concentrated on Muslim youth and their thoughts about American society, and whether they feel left out, misunderstood, or otherwise. This documentarys main focus is on whether the Muslim community truly and accurately understands the term JIHAD, its impact on the United States, and its meaning to the world.
