Synopsis: Terra Incognita is a feature-length documentary that tells the story of Dr. Jack Kessler current chair of Northwestern University's Department of Neurology and Clinical Neurological Sciences and his daughter Allison. Dr. Kessler's initial focus was on using stem cells to help cure diabetes. However after Allison was injured in a skiing accident and paralyzed from the waist down Kessler made the decision to change his research to utilizing embryonic stem cells in hopes of finding a cure for spinal cord injuries.
