When Beverly Hills police chief Bogomil is shot, Axel Foley returns to L.A. to visit him in the hospital. There, he is reunited with fellow flatfeet, Taggart and Rosewood, who, after some convincing, agree to let Axel help them find the shooter. Their digging leads to the investigation of a string of robberies and the masterminds behind them, a weapons kingpin and his Bogomil-shooting fiancée.
