Synopsis: A deadly insect invasion threatens every tree in the forest and greedy loggers plan to harvest the protected land. To prevent the government from saving the trees, the profiteers murder a forest ranger and frame Gene Autry for the crime. Autry is cleared of the charges, but the lumber men devise a villainous plan to ruin him. The rangers spray the forest to destroy the infestation, but the next morning many animals are found dead of poisoning. The trees seem doomed until Autry unmasks the real culprits. Their plans foiled, the bloodthirsty killers attack Autry, provoking a furious final battle.
