Synopsis: Corrupt investor Mr. Barnes offers an unusually generous sum of money for the seemingly worthless land owned by Lynne Reed. Ranch hand Jack Manning catches a glimpse of Barnes' men taking soil samples from Lynne's homestead and grows suspicious of his interest in the property. In an effort to keep Manning from spoiling the deal, the unscrupulous Barnes frames him for cattle rustling and has him arrested. With only hours to go before the ranch is sold, Manning's partner Buzz hatches a risky plan that will either gain his friend's freedom or leave him at the end of a hangman's rope.
