In the 23rd century, mankind has fled earth and emigrated to the moon. The human population now lives in the Lunar Republic of Eden, inhabiting six massive domes that form a teeming megalopolis, In this final outpost of mankind, all citizens are guaranteed a life of peace and harmony under the strict supervision of the citizens administration council. Having completed his mandatory education, 15-year-old Takeru is now in a six-month period of freedom that will end when the Council determines his social status based on aptitude. Troubled by doubts about his future and stifled by so-called freedom granted to citizens, Takeru, together with friends Kazuma and Biz, vents his frustrations by racing his customized Lunar Terrain Vehicle - LTV -.
