Billy Martin was one of the greatest managers in baseball history. He won five division titles, two pennants and one World Series championship. Beginning his career playing second base for the New York Yankees, he was eventually named as the team's manager...five different times. Celebrated for his daring tactics and the ability to win with any team, Martin was also the victim of his own fiery temperament, a personality trait that led to his being fired from five Major League ball clubs over the course of his 19-year managerial career.
