Synopsis: Following his family's escape from the Lawrence Culpepper cult, Paul Thomas (Gary Cole) parted ways with his wife Lea and daughter Crystal. Thomas is furious however, when he discovers that his daughter has become involved in a new cult led by Eleanor Braddock (Lolita Davidovich).
When Eleanor responds to Paul's singles ad in the newspaper he is less than pleased, but eventually builds a relationship with her and falls in love. Nevertheless, his newfound happiness leads him back to a world he tried to escape, and his life begins spiraling out of control. Suddenly his only hope for survival is to trust the very people he fears...
