Synopsis: This story tells of the five year period when Holland was under attack during the German invasion. This half drama, half documentary accounts the trials the Dutch went through including the winter of 1944 when more than 30,000 people died of starvation. Then entered the Canadian soldiers who brought with them food and played the biggest part in giving them their freedom from the German Nazi's forging an eternal friendship between the two countries.
