Welcome to London, 1961, where Tottenham Hotspur soccer team is on a winning streak - led by legendary player Danny Blanchflower! Among the hoards of cheering fans are four football crazed schoolgirls - Julia, Toni, Jailbird, and Tub, determined to do whatever it takes to get to the Cup Final! Julia, so devoted to the star player that she has changed her name to Danny, is devastated when her father won't take her to the game. But when she finds out that four tickets are available, she hatches a cunning plan to get hold of them and share in the Spurs glory no matter what!
