André Toulon is a puppet maker and the best of the kind. One day he happens upon an old Egyptian formula able to make all things dead come alive. He decides to give life to his puppets. As Toulon is both half-crazy and eccentric it doesn't take long for his puppets to develop into small murderous beasts that run away from their master. In desperation Toulon commits suicide. Some years later four psychics get on the trail of Toulon and his demonic inventions, and they decide to find the dolls in order to destroy them. On the other hand, the dolls will do anything to stop them!
