In search of meaning, 18 year-old Simon rejects his upper class Manhattan existence and goes exploring for a new life. He finds it in the Rock and Roll world of music festivals. In the spirit of Woodstock, Simon experiences life through the music, the atmosphere and the freedom at these concerts. He makes new friends, including Andrew, who introduces him to drugs, and Jennifer, a beautiful hippie to whom he is immediately attracted. Simon discovers you can run away from your problems, but you can't escape them. As the drugs take a greater importance than the music, Simon begins to spiral out of control. Busted by the cops, he lands in drug rehab where he is finally forced to confront his biggest problem: Himself.
