Synopsis: When a notorious Vietnamese businessman is murdered in a Manhattan office building, night janitor Daryll Deever (William Hurt) pretends to know about the crime to impress beautiful TV reporter Tony Sokolow (Sigourney Weaver). Tony wants an exclusive news story. Daryll wants Tony. And now somebody - in a conspiracy that may include his volatile best friend (James Woods), her wealthy fiancÃ© (Christopher Plummer), a determined police lieutenant (Morgan Freeman), Asian mobsters and more - wants them both dead. As the danger inches closer, is there anyone these two unlikely lovers can trust...including each other?
