Synopsis: At some point in life, everyone is given an opportunity to take up a cause. For 15-year-old Simon Jackson, a decisive moment occurs in the forests of British Columbia, when a great white bear saves his life. Afterward, Simon discovers that his savior, the Kermode bear, is facing extinction due to the logging industry. With the help of Native American activist Lloyd Blackburn, the shy high school student becomes a tireless force for environmental protection.
