Synopsis: Matt Dow is a wanderer accused of a crime he didn't commit. A shoot-out takes place in which his young companion's leg is smashed. When the townspeople realize they have made a terrible mistake, they appoint Dow their sheriff, and he in turn appoints his young friend Davey his deputy. Davey's bitterness pulls the two apart, however, when he makes a deal with a gang of crooks.
