Synopsis: Teenager Tommy Cantanios is tired of being treated like a second-class citizen because he is Mexican-American. When one too many bigots takes a shot at him, Cantanios decides to fight back, finding in the process that he has a gift for boxing. Utilizing his newfound skill, Cantanios becomes a professional boxer with the help of his manager, Pete Ganusa, and trainer, Freddy Jack. However, Cantanios still struggles to find genuine respect as a person.
