Synopsis: Tough sleuth Dick Tracy has to crack a case when a series of murder victims starts turning up. Ultimately, he determines that they are linked to escaped convict Splitface. Seeking vengeance, Splitface is hunting down those who have wronged him. When Tracy and his partner, Pat Patton, foil the criminal, Splitface kidnaps Tracy's girlfriend, Tess, holding her hostage to keep the ace detective from sending him back to prison.
